We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer Lead who will lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions on the Cloud. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to build robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data solutions on the Cloud.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes on the Cloud.

  • Optimize and tune data solutions for performance and scalability.

  • Implement data security and compliance standards on the Cloud.

  • Provide technical guidance to team members and mentor junior data engineers.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the data engineering field and recommend solutions that can enhance business operations.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience in data engineering, with an experience in leading a team of data engineers.

  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions on the Cloud using technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data warehousing methodologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL.

  • Experience with data security and compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Cloud platform certification is a plus.
